Can you name these icons?
FACEBOOK: Most churches now realize the importance of Facebook when engaging with members and guests, but are you taking full advantage of Facebook Live and Facebook advertising? Are you posting regularly? Do you have photo albums and links to important events? Do you tag members' photos?

Did you know there are over 2 billion monthly active Facebook users? There are over 1.7 billion mobile active users. The average time spent per Facebook visit is 20 minutes. Are your members and potential guests hearing from you in those 20 minutes?

We can help increase traffic to your page, increase page likes and help you interact with and communicate better with your members and page visitors.
TWITTER: We know politicians are using it....but why? Well, there are 330 million reasons (and that many active users!) That's right and 21 percent of American adults use it...and most are likely to be millennials (a mysterious group of young people the church is desperately trying to reach). Thirty six percent of Americans ages 18 to 29 use Twitter, more than any other age group. Twitter says that 80 percent of its users are "affluent millennials". Do you know what percentage of your members Tweet or read Tweets?

They gave up counting, but Twitter says that people send hundreds of millions of Tweets per day. More importantly to you, Twitter serves more than two billion search queries per day. Do those queries take them to your church?
YOU TUBE: YouTube is the second largest search engine and third most visited site following Google and Facebook. Did you ever think of YouTube as a search engine? Millineals do. 8 out of 10 18-49 year olds watch YouTube. Among millennials, YouTube accounts for two-thirds of the premium online video watched across devices. The average mobile viewing session lasts more than 40 minutes...that's longer than most sermons! Now we know where the young people are. Are they watching church? Your church?
PINTEREST: Pinterest is a social network that allows users to visually share, and discover new interests by posting (known as 'pinning' on Pinterest) images or videos to their own or others' boards (i.e. a collection of 'pins,' usually with a common theme) and browsing what other users have pinned. People follow boards of people they are interested in. Brides use Pinterest for wedding ideas, new parents for nursery ideas, parenting tips, baby food recipes.

Why would a church use Pinterest? Every church wants members to stay connected. Pinterest is just another way to keep your church forefront in their minds. Boards might include: Books Worth Reading, Bible Studies and Devotionals, Advent & Christmas Ideas for Children, Quilting Patterns, Trunk or Treat ideas, Altar Flower arrangements, VBS Craft Ideas and many more.
INSTAGRAM: What is Instagram? Ask anyone under the age of 30! Instagram is a photo and video sharing social media app that allows people to share photos with friends and family. You can follow celebrities, athletes and CHURCH. Young people have all but abandoned Facebook but they are active on Instagram. Post church photos and ads or announcements to followers on your Instagram account. You can use hashtags to categorize your posts or find a type of post you are looking for.
Overwhelmed? Praise Communication can help you navigate the world of social media and how your church can use it effectively to communicate with members and welcome guests.
